There’s no way around it-these images are bigoted and racist. This flyer was found posted in various spots at a #Modesto church -we’ve decided to blur certain portions of it. Sadly this isn’t an isolated incident. @FOX40
We’ve gotten detailed accounts of at least 4 instances around the Modesto area where flyers similar to these have been canvassed. 1 Church, 1 synagogue, 1 LGBTQ community center and a Congressman’s townhall event were all targeted @FOX40
The pastor at the church where the flyer was posted tells us he met today with other religious leaders in Modesto to discuss a response. He said they’d all taken extra security measures to protect their congregations @FOX40
And he’s unsure why a Church was targeted with anti-Semitic imagery. He says his church’s monthly vigils might have something to do with it. They hold up these signs, one of which also says “Love your Jewish neighbor.” It’s an exercise in tolerance and Christianity @FOX40
