Hi, y'all! I'm back for a hot minute. Now I'll throw out some quick ideas for ways to get inspiration. 1/n #RobinsonTwitterTakeover

1. Go to random lectures, including online webinars. @societyforepi has a ton, as do govt agencies in the U.S.
2. Listen to podcasts (search keywords in Apple or Google Play. There's a podcast for everything)...2/n #RobinsonTwitterTakeover

3. Join Facebook groups (or other social media platforms) about the health conditions that interest you (be upfront about who you are if they ask) and JUST LISTEN!! 3/n #RobinsonTwitterTakeover

4. Look up surveillance data. We are so lucky to live in an era of widely available data. From Census data to SEER to Gallup data. There are even great visualization tools like @socialexplorer 3/n #RobinsonTwitterTakeover 4/n

5. Peruse NIHReporter! Type in keywords and see what comes up. See what others are doing and how they frame questions. They even have a cool tool where you put in your grant and they show you other grants on related topics. 5/n

6. Read the lay press, @OMagazineSA and other women's magazines are great for seeing how epidemiology is communicated outside of #epiTwitter 6/n #RobinsonTwitterTakeover

7. Talk to people at conferences. Ask a question. Tell someone you liked their question. Present your own work. Chat at people's posters. 7/n #RobinsonTwitterTakeover

I can directly link collaborations with @KemiDoll, @epi_kerrykeyes, @zinzinator, Tyler vanderWeele, and @l_farland to chatting after presentations that they or I gave at @societyforepi or my home institution. #EpiTwitter can serve the same purpose. 8/n #RobinsonTwitterTakeover

Ok, I have to head to the airport. I'll check in one more time before the flight leaves. 9/n #RobinsonTwitterTakeover

In the mean time, tell us the ways that you get inspiration? What are some of the times and places that you get your best ideas? 10/10 #RobinsonTwitterTakeover
