Building a PDP11/70. These were among the computers that made the first network connections.

Cannot wait to network and compute how it was originally intended!

Look at all those beautiful components!

Soldered GPIO connector on the wrong side of the board 😭😭

Guess this will be a crash course in desoldering.

It took me four hours, but it worked!

Now putting GPIO holder back together and resolder it on the other side 🤓🤣

I never thought I'd be able to concentrate on something so small for so long !

Most lights are working!

Correction: ALL LIGHTS ARE WORKING !

Test #1 :: SUCCESS

Dancing lights!!

Test #2 :: SUCCESS

Assembled!

That's it for today. Tomorrow resoldering of some buttons and then some old school networking!

🤓😴💤

🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩

Resoldered all flip buttons and some loose connectors.

Put back together. Now everything is working.

Shall I load the DECnet or TCP/IP protocol stack?

'for the next step, transform the octal value to a binary value'

🤣🤣🤣

Who is the computer here, you or me?

What OS should my PDP11/7 run?

🤣🤣🤣 already ran into a Y2K problem 🤣🤣🤣

Reverse knight rider, but as bootloader

There. Is. A. Live. Network. Of. DECnet. users.
