#MUOS 1 is barnstorming MUOS 2 and 5 at the moment as it drifts eastward to parts unknown... Where MUOS3 is going is a mystery and why it's going anywhere is a greater mystery. It produced a nice family frequency plot though!

As I noted in the tweet below, MUOS 1 up and left a couple of UFO comms sat out over the Pacific to make its move.

The MUOS Constellation was planned initially as noted in the image below.

MUOS 5 suffered an anomaly when in geostationary transfer orbit and used up most of its station keeping fuel to get it to a synchronous orbit at the 105W libration slot. There is doesn't need fuel to stay in a synchronous orbit. satobs.org/seesat/Oct-201…

MUOS 5 was for the 'spare' slot at 72E. Something has created a sense of urgency to require the move of MUOS 1 from the Pacific slot and leave two dated UFO comms satellites there and relocated it.

Opps! I accidentally refer to MUOS1 as MUOS3 in my tweet of Nov 12.

The MUOS3 reference here should read MUOS1
