1/ My love of poetry and my day job advocating for the privacy of vulnerable people rarely intersect, but thanks to @poetryquestion, today they did. I used it as an opportunity to talk about five of my favorite poets.

@poetryquestion 2/ Javier Zamora's Unaccompanied (@CopperCanyonPrs) is the most searing writing I've read about unaccompanied kids and what they live through to get here. As I talk about in #TPQ5, I assign "Cassette Tape" in my clinic. granta.com/cassette-tape/

@poetryquestion @CopperCanyonPrs 3/ @adalimon's "Dandelion Insomnia" should be taped to activists' walls everywhere... "bam, another me" ..."bam, another me"

@poetryquestion @CopperCanyonPrs @adalimon 4/ “Death and taxes” is a lie. Turns out SOME PEOPLE don’t pay taxes. Everyone *is* born, though, and @MissLizBerry's The Republic of Motherhood is a passport to the otherworld that is birth and early motherhood. granta.com/the-republic-o…

@poetryquestion @CopperCanyonPrs @adalimon @MissLizBerry 5/ If Monica de la Torre's Happy End/All Welcome (@udpbooks) were a legal filing, it would be an indictment of the pervasively surveilled workplace.

Below, "Human Intelligence Tasks" -- pulled from Mechanical Turk.

@poetryquestion @CopperCanyonPrs @adalimon @MissLizBerry @udpbooks 6/ Finally, I put in a plug for the extraordinary Rocket Fantastic by Gabrielle Calvocoressi (@rocketfantastic) because (a) you should read Rocket Fantastic, and (b) there is a show-stopper collection coming at some point that includes her Cistern series.
