A short thread debunking the atheist lies about Muhammad's ﷺ marriage to Aisha and so called "child marriages".

First this is just to show a biological scientific reality, I'm sure as you all know there is no morality without religion.

So we can dismiss all moral claims.

First (speaking to Westerners) there is a huge difference betrothing and marriage. Betrothing means "you will get married in the future"

Aisha was betrothed to Muhammad ﷺ at age 6, and gt married after she hit puberty at age 9

As Dr. Jonathan AC Brown says many Westerners fail to grasp the difference between contracting a marriage (betroth/engagement) and consummating it (making it official)

Nor do they understand the concept of "puberty"

Now as for her hitting puberty at 9, it's common for people in hotter climates to hit puberty at earlier ages.

In fact scientifically the age of puberty (physical maturity) was historically lower than it was post-industrial revolution, as well as psychosocial maturity (mental maturity)

This is just a scientific fact, if you don't like it argue with biology

This is Grays Anatomy, a standard medical book, every single med student has to buy when you enter med school.

As we can see after puberty, one becomes biologically sexually active

So you might be wondering "b-but muh feels"

Neil Postman explains, that the modern concept of "childhood" is a recent social construct that did not exist before the 20th century.

Source: "The Disappearance of Childhood" (1982) Dr. Neil Postman, PhD

Before the 20th century, children would see themselves as equal to adults, were much more mature, & took on much more responsibilities.

They still do this in Japan, where children are trusted to goto school, cross highways, & use the trains by themselves

That's just how easy it is to refute these arguments, they aren't based on any scientific facts and are just "muh feelings don't like that" (aka secular liberal morality, which as we already know is false and illogical)

And that's it, the argument is over, I win, just like that.
