The @CareQualityComm have today recommended that St George’s is moved out of Quality Special Measures! The report found “significant improvement” has been made since our last inspection – great news for patients and staff.
Here is our Chief Executive @TotterdellJac 👇
The overall ratings for the Trust, and for St George’s and Queen Mary’s Hospitals will remain as requires improvement and we know there is lots more work to reach our ambition of #OutstandingCareEveryTime
⬆️ Many of our core services have also improved. Our Children & Young People’s service is now outstanding, a fantastic achievement, and Surgery at St George’s is rated good.
Our Outpatients service improved its rating to good for safety and requires improvement for well-led.
The report highlighted a number of examples of outstanding practice:
🏫 emergency asthma bags for local schools
📟 pagers for parents so staff can contact them once their children are out of surgery
🤧 point of care flu testing in our ED
We spoke to some of our staff to learn more about these examples of outstanding practice – look out for these short interviews later today.
Well done to #TeamStGeorges and thank you to all our patients, friends and supporters for your on-going support.
