Hello again from UK Parliament. π
We're abuzz as the new Parliament gets back to business after the general election. The end of this week and year look busy for everyone here in Westminster.
So far this week, members of the new @HouseofCommons have appointed the Speaker, @LindsayHoyle_MP, and have been swearing oaths of allegiance.
Members of the @UKHouseofLords and Commons are required to swear in before they can take their seats in Parliament.
π
Tomorrow sees the formal start to UK Parliament's year, the #StateOpening of Parliament. The last State Opening was in October, before the general election.

Why is there another State Opening now? ππ€
State Opening brings together all three parts of Parliament: the Commons, the Lords and the monarch. The #QueensSpeech, read by the Queen in the House of Lords, sets out the government's plans for the year ahead.
We'll be LIVE from #StateOpening tomorrow morning, and we'll do our best to answer your questions about what's coming up in your UK Parliament.
