/ Can’t piece together why nuclear energy is so out of favor. It’s much better/efficient than renewables (wind, solar, hydro). Let’s run the numbers on why nuclear is so much better: amalgamated-contemplation.com/2015/11/04/let…
/ Accidents like Chernobyl, Three Mile Island and Fukushima are blown out of proportion. More people died in Japan due to rising electricity costs post-accident than from radiation. See @mercatus paper: mercatus.org/bridge/comment…
/ Almost no investments have been made to improve reactor designs and nuclear technology. @fredwilson summarized this well in his 2020s prediction post: avc.com/2020/01/what-w…
/ Small nuclear reactors the size of a classroom could be the way of the future. More funding for researchers like Taylor Wilson is needed: ted.com/talks/taylor_w…
/ Public perception of nuclear energy is going to be hard to change, but it will. Climate change is becoming a greater concern. I hope & expect younger generations (post 1991 / Cold War era) will embrace nuclear as the way of the future. The sooner we realize it, the better ☢️♻️
