THREAD: In case you haven’t noticed, today anyone the American right wing doesn’t like for any reason is a Satanic pedophile laundering globalist money. While traveling this weekend, I saw an alarming example of this worth considering with a tinge of horror and alarm.

Columbus, OH is currently absolutely exploding in size and wealth. And one of its most prosperous suburbs, Dublin, decided to ditch its “golf and big house sprawl” image, and rebuild itself as an urban planners’ dream of mixed used buildings in walkable neighborhoods.

They’re doing this for three reasons. The first is to attract millennials in tech jobs and other lucrative industries to Dublin. The second is to boost local businesses and drastically cut commutes. The third is to follow new best practices for urban development.

The end result does look quite impressive and there’s much more to come as broke and defunct strip malls and office parks are becoming posters for urban renewal and modernization come to life. But a lot of longtime residents of Dublin are really unhappy about these changes.

They liked the sprawl and the fact that the suburb basically shut down after 10 pm and had only a handful of pubs and restaurants that have been there forever. They’d rather have a rotting driving range and empty corporate office blocks than live in a thriving area.

So when the project in question, the Bridge Street District, comes up in the news, they immediately bring up local tycoon Lex Wexner, owner of Limited Brands, and claim that he’s obviously laundering dirty Epstein money, therefore [insert version of QAnon conspiracy theory here].

Wexner was involved with Epstein and some of their ties do look bad. And Wexner does live in Columbus, in New Albany to be exact. But he has nothing to do with BSD, which is a partnership between the city of Dublin and real estate developers and investors, which he’s not.

So, in other words, Dublin’s older, anti-development conservatives saw a thing they don’t like, therefore it’s a project by Satanic pedophiles with dirty money. This is their new default. It’s the paranoid malicious insanity rotting the basic foundations of American society.

Now just consider that Columbus is a thriving, liberal-leaning hub in the middle of corn fields and the Rust Belt filled with angry and proud members of the Cult of Trump who elect state lawmakers who pick their voters and push insane bills the demographic majority despises.

It’s almost like a microcosm of the American political crisis: booming urban centers developing the economy of the 21st century having their arms twisted by paranoid, furious zealots who think they’re being oppressed by Satanic treasonous pedophiles in those urban centers, and...

... everything that happens in those urban centers is inherently evil and scary and bad, especially when it brings in their worst nightmare: diverse young professionals who don’t share their values and don’t want to live in a spiritual clone of The Villages retirement community.
