As we type this, all six of our clients are either on a plane on their way to their children or they’ve already landed and have them in their arms. #reunifyfamilies #endfamilyseparation
Here they are again. All fathers forcibly separated from their children + deported. Some were coerced into signing deportation papers in languages they didn’t understand, others were straight up lied to. They haven’t seen their children in nearly 2 years. Today, that changes.
A heartfelt x 1,000 thank you to @GlennonDoyle @togetherrising + their community of love warriors who raised $175k+ in 48 hrs to get these parents home + provide for urgent needs.

As profoundly joyful as this moment is, managing attorney for our Family Reunification Project @cad6711 reminds us the journey is not over. “It will take years to try to undo the damage that’s been done to these fathers and their children.....
“They will also be making their asylum claims in a legal atmosphere that has grown increasingly hostile to those seeking safety in our country. There is mcuch work yet to be done but, for now, we celebrate in knowing these parents will soon be able to hold their children again.”
