Citizens Protection (Against Online Harm) Rules, drafted by PTA makes one thing clear - the goal is NOT to become China, it is to become North Korea. Snippets follow..
#SeriouslyNotKidding

Social Media companies excepted to act within 24 hours (or within 6 hours in emergency) to remove or disable access to content reported by a government appointed "National Coordinator" (Btw the IT minister has 15 days to find this coordinator after the notification of rules)

Interpretation or permissibility of any online content, by PTA or National Coordinator to take precedence
over any community standards or rules or community guidelines or policies or any other
instruments devised by a Social Media Company like @Twitter & @Facebook

Obviously, live streaming is a big no, no

Social Media Companies to establish local office & place a local representative in Islamabad. They are also expected to remove content from Pakistanis based abroad if instructed to do so!

Social media companies shall also start tagging fake content whenever it is determined 'fake' by the government! The company shall also provide the government any information it wants, no matter where it is stored

And what would happen if @Facebook, @Twitter and other social media platforms dont comply in the next three months? Block, block, block. And @Facebook , please be adviced that this means that WhatsApp and Messenger will be blocked too - I know cause it is specifically mentioned
