We should be concerned by ALL instances of media bias and censorship, whether it's corporate or outside manipulation.

We should not selectively wield these concerns in ways that only benefit the candidates we support or hurt those we oppose.

I as a Sanders supporter can be concerned by the bias and censorship Sanders has received AND also agree that Russian social media manipulation is bad and that there has been a #WarrenMediaBlackout.

We also have to be morally and intellectually consistent here.

First, the US government needs to stop messing with other countries' elections before we can legitimately critique others'.

Further, we should oppose nation states intervening in elections, e.g. military intelligence groups.

But we shouldn't oppose "foreign interference" wholesale. Otherwise we are inconsistent when participating out of state canvassing and phonebanking, when supporting @swingleft.

@swingleft We are one humanity. Local policy affects everyone. I'm fine with people anywhere engaging in political conversations elsewhere as part of their individual civic life.

I'm not fine with the weaponization of media platforms as tools of international conflict and neocolonialism.
