To encourage domestic prodn of bulk drugs & medical devices, #UnionCabinet has decided to enhance assistance for common facilities for Bulk Drug & Medical Devices Park and introduced Production Linked Incentive System to manufacturers of identified bulk drugs & medical devices.
This will reduce import dependency and improve drug security of the country.
Enhance grant in aid of up to Rs 1000 crore per bulk drug park for building common facilities for 3 Parks. 1/n
In addition, eligible manufacturers of bulk drug to receive production linked incentive on their incremental sales over a period of 8 years. 2/n
For medical device park, grant in aid has been enhanced to Rs 100 crore per park. 4 such parks to be supported. Eligible manufacturers to receive production linked incentive on their incremental sales over a period of 6 years. 3/n
