Mike Pence March 3: Every American can get a coronavirus test. Our objective is to make tests broadly available to the American public.

Mike Pence March 4: We have 1.5 million tests ready to distribute. Tests are available in all 50 states.

Donald Trump March 7: Anybody who wants a test can get a test.

Mike Pence March 10: We'll have 4 million more tests available by the end of the week.

Trump March 10: We have heavily tested everybody that returns to the country.

Donald Trump March 12: If you go to the right area, to the right agents, you get a test. Frankly, the testing has been going very smooth.

Donald Trump March 13: (In addition to the 4 million) there will be another 1.4 million tests available by the end of the week.

Donald Trump also March 13: We don't want everyone talking the test if we feel they shouldn't be doing it. And we don't want everybody running out and taking it - only those that have certain symptoms.

U.S. Asst Health Secretary Ben Giroir March 21: We promised 1-4 million. There's 10 million tests in the market now, and we'll distribute another 17 million by the end of March.

Trump March 25: We have tested more than anybody. I saw it. We don’t have to test the entire state in the Middle West or wherever they may be. We don’t have to test the entire state. I think it’s ridiculous. We don’t have to do it.

Donald Trump March 29: I haven't heard about testing in weeks.

Total tests run in the United States as of March 31st:
Just over 1 million. Italy has tested 1 of every 133 people. The United States has tested one of every 366 people.
