It would be disrespectful to our families and friends who were killed in the most excruciating of ways, if we allowed those who committed those atrocities and their friends, to re-write history. The Genocide was about the exterminations of the Tutsis.
Tutsis were not the only ones killed, we all know that, but they were the only ones who were systematically targeted (old, young, women or men). We do and should honor every victim, but to call it the Rwandan genocide? That’s denialism. If that was the case then who killed who?
Calling people who decide to stand up against those who try to re-write or deny our history, idiots, is just distasteful and disrespectful. Its our duty to uphold the truth for those who are no longer with us. Don’t let a Dayo shame you for doing that. 🙏🏿💜
