Apart from having the worry of paying $495 in renewal costs every year, #DACA recipients are now faced with the impending threat of the Supreme Court overturning the program in the blink of an eye.
Not only do these folks pay $173 million dollars to the U.S. government alone in fees every year...
They also contribute $2 BILLION dollars a year in state and local taxes.
And guess what? Like many of us, they pay a HIGHER proportion of their income in taxes than the top 1%.
And yet, this Administration is hell-bent on ending the program.
The facts are clear. DACA recipients are part of the fabric of this country and during this pandemic, we have learned that none of us are safe unless everyone is safe.
That’s why we want to expand the types of assistance we provide to support our #DACA community members.
