🔥 Our members gearing up for the #HousingIsHealth National Day of Action 📢
From banner and placard-making, to postering, to flying the ACORN flag, on Monday we will show the Government we are organized and united as tenants, street by street and house by house🚩
Members will be taking coordinated across the country to demand rent waivers and stronger protection against eviction.
A temporary ban on evictions was only conceded because tenants exercised our collective power. While we have lost income and struggled between paying for rent and food, political leaders have again been missing in action, with many fearful of losing their home once the ban lifts.
But ACORN has been stepping up to defend our communities, fighting for the right to housing as a matter of public health. Despite the Government's continued broken pledges over evictions, our movement will not stand for anyone being forced out of their home during this crisis.
Tenants are angry, organized, and will stand together for safety and dignity. Join the day of action ✊ Find out more about the #HousingIsHealth campaign here, and if you're worried about rent we can back you up in negotiating a rent reduction.
