A little more than an hour until DC’s curfew goes into effect and H St. across from Lafayette Park is full of peaceful protestors. National guard have now joined Park Police & Secret Service in the park.

Attorney General Bill Barr is now out in Lafayette Park. It looks like he’s surveying the police and guard deployed out here. Crowd is booing him heartily, and chanting “George Floyd”

Monday has been the most peaceful day of protest here in DC so far. Haven’t seen a single bottle thrown. Police have not approached the fence line, and protestors haven’t gone over it.

All of the law enforcement and military personnel in the park have now put on gas masks.

They’ve now pressed up to within two feet of the fence. I could reach out and touch them. Protestors are chanting “hands up don’t shoot”

And now there are mounted police in the street. It’s extraordinarily tense.
