discussion about race, exploitation, capitalism, incarceration, and power in America, daughter #1 (24) was feeling blue.
Not knowing how else to help, I said, “Do you want me to send you my Rage Against the Machine records?” #RATM
I’m not kidding I’ve been ready for these last few days in America for 20 years because of Zack De La Rocha.
They should teach a college class: “RATM Predictions About America that Came True in 2020.”
At first I just liked #zdlr because he was pissed off and I was pissed off too.
Then I started to hear what he was mad at. And understand. It took this Ohio white boy a little while.
Zack’s honesty is the key. He tells you enough about his heritage, his upbringing, and his experience hat you start to see it’s all true.
If you like had his parents and you looked like him and thought like him your experiences would be the same. He makes you like through them.
Then he looks for root causes. Pulls back the curtain. Shows you more truth.
Listen and learn. I did.
