We have now formally lodged appeal grounds in the posthumous appeal for #Lockerbie bombing of Flight PanAm 103- where Al-Megrahi was convicted of the worst terror attack in the UK killing 270 people over 31 years ago- The appeal grounds are “substantial” #LockerbieAppeal
If the appeal is sucessful it will mean that the UK & USA stand accused of living a monumental lie for over 31 years, imprisoning a man they knew to be innocent & punishing the Libyan people
Powerful forces have operated to obstruct the search for truth, but I am grateful to Dr Jim Swire, Rev Mosey, @rblackqc & the family of the late Al- Megrahi for never giving up in the fight for justice & truth
Ali, son of the late Al- Megrahi stated “The legal team has made great efforts & is still making in exposing the unfair trial that my father was subjected to & continues to face despite his death. We have faith that justice will win in the end & overturn the unlawful verdict”
The only place to determine whether a miscarriage of justice did occur is in the appeal court, where the evidence can be subjected to rigorous scrutiny #LockerbieAppeal
