I think we need to case study this for the sake of posterity.

Feel free to add your own in this thread 😬.

Case study #1 - Priti Patel:

Got called a ‘Paki’ at school, but still willing to deport black/brown people. Leader of the pull up the ladder movement

Case study #2 - Sajid Javid:

Son of a Pakistani bus driver, but happy to weaponise his own ‘Muslimness’ when it suits him to show representation despite fuelling dangerous narratives about Muslims. Universally reviled by people of colour and his own white constituency 🤦🏽‍♂️

Case study #3 - Trevor Phillips:

Hailed by racists as the true voice of anti-racism...what more needs to be said? 🙄

Case study #4 - Maajid Nawaz:

Professional dog-whistler of all issues related to Muslims. If the government or media have any racist narratives, he’ll be at the ready to provide a robust defence. Also...his smirking during Nick Ferrari’s racist invective at Afua Hirsch 🤢

#6 https://t.co/oRarjhvHNU

Case study #7 - James Cleverly:

Was happy to prove the lack of racism in the UK by making the extremely compelling argument that at least it’s the least racist country 🙄

Case study #8 - Khalid Mahmood MP:

Provided cover for Trevor Phillips by claiming he hasn’t made Islamophobic comments. Voted consistently for militarisation & securitisation against Muslims all over the world. Supports neo-con think tanks that regularly publish bile on Muslims

#9 https://t.co/1jhsg3mUXT

Important to think internationally...

Case study #10 - Ayaan Hirsi Ali:

Built a career off the back of attacking Muslims based on personal experiences that weren't exactly true. Has become the darling of reform Islam movement. And oh yeah...is/was married to Niall Ferguson 🤮

Case study #11 - Candace Owens:

some of the receipts:

Case study #12 - Raheem Kassem:

Breitbart News London, the Henry Jackson Society and the UK Independence Party...I mean, is there are stronger contender for chamcha?

Don’t worry Australians, I got you covered too.

Case study #13 - Muhammad Tawhidi:

Rent a commentator on all matters related to calling out Islam. Regularly trolls himself by speaking.

As we’ve been talking about the militarisation of the police, it’s worth thinking about those who give religious cover to the military industrial complex

Case study #14 - Asim Hafiz

Imam of the British Armed Forces and claims that such a role is in keeping Islam’s ethics 🤷🏽‍♂️

Important to note the route from militarisation to securitisation:

Case study #15 - Azeem Ibrahim:

Former soldier, presented at Israel's security conference at Herzliya and to Mossad, advised American neocons including architects of the US torture programme

Case study #16 - Rabia Chaudry

Used her platform platform from Serial to go straight into CVE through her company Safe Nation Collaborative (high irony in that last word). Also a member of MLI, involved with faith-washing the Israeli occupation.

Case study #17 - Wajahat Ali:

Not really right to mention Rabia without mentioning Wajahat...a very basic Brad of Muslim political discourse in the US. He’s basically on the same page with CVE and faith-washing Zionism.

Case study #19 - Tarek Fatah:

We don’t want to forget Canada’s very own reform-Islam merchant. Pretty much set his career on directing his bile towards Muslims and Islam.

Yeah, I think if you are going to be involved in entrapping members of your own community and then building a career off it, you get included.

Case study #20 - Mubin Shaikh

t.co/vdmtL39WOI

Case study #21 - Asra Nomani:

Asra Nomani has since 9/11 been involved in the reform Islam movement, but particularly in calling for the targeted surveillance of Muslim communities by pushing for extra stops at airports in particular.

Back to the UK:

Case study #22 - Shaun Bailey

Basically, seems he's got a problem with POC who are single mothers, come from underprivileged backgrounds, Hindus or Muslims 🤷🏽‍♂️

Case study #23 - Nikki Haley

For a start for changing her name, the self hate is REAL. But for all her services to Zionism and Hindutva nationalism too

#23 already taken but here is #24 as suggested:

https://t.co/ramGiMruvj

Case study #25 - Kemi Badenoch

Thanks to @MomodouTaal

Kemi, like other POC Tories, loves the line that Britain is the least racist country. Doesn’t believe POC deaths due to Covid are linked to systemic issues and says Islamophobia inquiry into Tories is political

Case study #26 - Qari Asim

I know about his involvement in Prevent-adjacent activities, but less about his links to the military industrial complex and his apologia for symbols of the transatlantic slave trade.

Case study #27 - Qanta Ahmed

Fox commentator with a particular hatred for @IlhanMN

https://t.co/8B8s609yjf

Case study #28 - Piyush ‘Bobby’ Jindal

This guy really has worked harder than most at literally whitewashing himself, but in particular for putting POC down. Definitely deserves inclusion.

Case study #29 - Colin Powell

If there is one haram zaada that deserves to be on this list, it’s this man. He knew he was lying to the UN Security Council when he presented the US case for the Iraq War, and all the destruction that followed will forever be linked to those lies

Case study #30 - Condoleezza Rice

This is the haram zaadi version of the previous haram zaada. Both in the Bush administration in the years they were torturing Muslims in CIA black sites and invading Muslim countries unlawfully

Case study #31 - Tulsi Gabbard:

Yup, the Hindu nationalist with deeply Islamophobic views comes into the bingo book of collaborators. Check out her Science of Identity weirdness 🧐

Case study #32 - John Yoo

Legal advisor for the CIA’s torture programme. I don’t know if much more needs to be said about the man who found a legal justification to torture people.

Case study #33 - Harold Koh

This Jabba the Hutt looking creature was one of the legal advisors to the Obama administration, and in particular gave legal cover for targeted assassinations through drone strikes. Btw, he’s supposed to be a human rights lawyer 🤦🏽‍♂️

Case study #34 - Munira Mirza

Good example of the kind of cover that can be given to governments when you need a brown face to deny institutional or structural racism. According to Munira, it’s all just terribly exaggerated and her proximity to Boris has little to do with it 🤦🏽‍♂️

Case study #35 - Taj Hargey

I was going to ask where this guy is these days, but he’s probably in deep isolation after the government ordered everyone to wear a face covering on public transport. He’s famous for organising a burn the burka day to prove how much he dislikes it

Case study #36 - Kamala Harris

Former prosecutor in California, who refused to call for the prosecutions of police involved in shootings. She also aggressively insisted on keeping men who were found innocent in prison.

Case study #37 - Walid Phares

Spends much of his time defending Trump from accusations of racism. He also notoriously has been on of the advocates of Muslims being a fifth column in American society.

Case study #38 - Tahir Aslam Gora
