Democratic Senators are on the floor of the Senate right now trying to pass the Equality Act. That legislation would gut the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1996.

The Religious Freedom Restoration Act is the one law that Gorsuch said would protect religious freedom after 𝘉𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘤𝘬. The Democrats are trying to destroy that protection right now.

I am reminded of the prophetic words of Robbie George (@McCormickProf) eight years ago:

Robbie George was right. The progressives view us as bigots who must not be compromised with. They are more than willing to decimate our religious liberty, and they are trying to do it now on the floor of the Senate.

Senator Jeff Merkley is on the floor right now equating Christian beliefs about sexuality with those who supported slavery and racism. This is where we are. Anyone who thinks that the sexual liberationists are willing to compromise are sorely mistaken.

The nation owes a debt of gratitude to @SenMikeLee, @HawleyMO, and @SenatorLankford for taking a stand and stopping the opposition from doing this.
