.@kyoag says the investigation is "ongoing" and this is an information only press conference.
"You have my committment that my office is undertaking a thorough and fair investigation," Cameron says.
Says he hears calls to finish investigation as soon as possible. His office is working quickly, he says but is also being thorough.
.@kyoag says his office has continued to recieve info from @LMPD and is doing its own independant investigation, which he says is "crucial."
"At the end of our investigation, we will do what is right. We will find the truth."
Cameron says he is not going to provide a specific date on when the investigation will be concluded.
And he can't discuss much about the investigation. Taking a couple questions.
Question: Has @LMPD sent his office a completed investigation?
@kyoag said his office is still receiving information from LMPD.
"I don't want to get into any specifics" of a deadline.
Question: What's taking so long?
"We are trying to undertake a very thorough investigation. ... It takes time."
Says one of the reasons for this press conference is to ask for patience from the public.
Question: What evidence is still outstanding from @LMPD?
Declines to go into specifics.
"We continue to recieve follow-up details" from LMPD "and continue to do our own work as well."
Asked about Beyonce letter, Cameron said "whether it's a celebrity or a Kentuckian ... I take great care in every letter we recieve. ... It doesn't matter who sends me a piece of mail."
It seems the purpose of that was simply to address persistant rumors that a decision not to charge the officers was imminent.
