On #OlympicDay we wish everyone a glorious Norman Pritchard jayanti.
Norman who, you ask?
He was the first person to win medals for India in the 1900 summer Olympics in Paris #BMKJ
The same Norman Pritchard had scored a football hattrick representing the Xavierians to defeat the Sovabazar club 3-0.
Sovabazar club was the first Indian club to play football against the British.
There is of course controversy around which nation should actually be credited for Pritchard's two Olympic medals, though the IOC credited the wins to India.
We'll take what we get #BMKJ
Pritchard then moved to the US and pursued acting under the name Norman Trevor.
Despite all this very little is known about him.
