SISTER DEBBIE SEXY.
One day, we'll talk about how we allow Jesus to be the Lord of every area of our lives, but shut him out of our wardrobes.
One day, we'll talk about how that it's now really dope to expose our voluptuous boobs and a some fresh laps just because...
One day, we'll talk about how that those who bring up these topics are considered to be "judging" lol.
I preach about grace and the truth of God's word. I might have not spoken concerning dressing because I believe the HolySpirit teaches us.
I believe the HolySpirit deals with people differently, and everyone has their growth levels.
So, instead of forcing decency down your throat, I rather would introduce Jesus to you.
But here's where I have a problem, you come online and tell thousands of young minds that NUDITY IS OK? Nope. No. On this, I won't be quiet.
The other day, a video of a lady wearing this crazy Jean trouser circulated the media. The Jean in question wasn't thorn on the knee or lap as usual but was thorn ON THE BUTT! (caps for emphasy)
I mean, there were slashes on the Jean, revealing this lady's bum skin
you would know by now it was a light skinned lady with a near perfect figure 8 shape. I'll allow your mind imagine the rest.
A lot of people cringed at the sight. They wrote comments on how that the jean was too bad, and revealing too much bum skin and all.
Some others however, chose to be quiet, while some soaked in the sight.
I won't be surprised if, in a few years time, that style is accepted and applauded by the society.
I won't be shocked if it is even welcomed and absorbed into the church, because, what have we not seen?
Of course, we're flexing on "grace!"
I ask, where's the boundary fam? Where are we drawing the line? Are we now accepting everything?
How is it that we allow the HolySpirit to prophesy through us, to pray through us, but we shut him out of areas as this cos, 'sis must be hot?
How is it that we so badly want to hold on to Jesus and never let go of 'sexy at all cost,' even though it comes with an extra display of flesh "for the culture, and for the road."
Are we really going to hold on to him and hold on to the lifestyles that do not speak of Him?
I'm trying to find the connection here, and I'm not even seeing it.
I know this is one area ladies hate to talk about, because, "don't tell me what to wear!" but sis, chill on this one.
I also know how bad you want to scream that a lot of fire branded, tongue speaking people are doing it and getting away with it, so why is yours different?
Hollup sis, you're not people, 'people is not you.' Ask yourself, on these issues, where's your stand? Yes, you.
It starts with a little amount of body exposure, then a little more, and a little more, and a little more... Shutting up the conscience before searing it with hot iron. Sis, chill.
Everyone faces this temptation to want to show off so much skin. Believe me, everyone!
The only difference is, when this temptation comes, we respond differently.
I got to that point too, I am a believer, tongue speaking, worded teacher, but I just wanted to show small part of my light skin. After all, I'm such a beauty to behold. Lol.
The urge was so bad that I had to take permission from Jesus. I told God like, "Baba, how far, your babe wants to slay" Lol. Of course, He responded. It was then I realised I had been listening and watching the world more than I had been God.
If you find yourself at this point, what you need is not to cover up like a ninja, what you do need is to go back to the cross and crucify these desires, tell Jesus how you really want to show this skin, but you're choosing Him.
Truth is, you wouldn't have a stand on these issues if you don't have a walk with God. That era of putting up rules and regulations and punishment for not following is fading away, fast.
So can I ask that you stop asking every blogger what dresses are a sin and which ones are not, as you'll only end up burning your dresses and buying the same type after a while.
See, God is more interested in your walk with Him than in you following rules.
Following rules is not why you were created, it is in following and fellowshipping with Him you would know what is and what isn't.
God is patient and willing to let you grow. Growth is a process. Just like an dropping an addiction.
Some people, when they come to Christ, are immediately changed, some others take time to let some things go.
That's why I prefer to preach Jesus than set up rules, because I've realised, rules don't hold people for too long, ask the children of Israel.
And hey, I understand the struggle trying to let go of some dresses, I doooo. But why not try letting Him in. This is a step you wouldn't regret. He is not boring. JESUS IS NOT BORING.
We know right, there's nothing new the world wants to show us, nothing new they want to display, it the same old thang! Chewing the craze and spewing it back at us. Recycling♻
I hope that while you travel this earth, you remember who you are, Royalty, Saved with zest, DIFFERENT
I hope you never get it twisted. I hope you realize early that no amount of wokeness can erode this reality.
Just in case it wasn't loud enough, fam, NUDITY is NOT the God kinda fashion.
May Jesus be the Lord of our lives, including our wardrobes
