Today in #Rakesden...

Saikei looking lush after the rain.

Will probably crop these later or redo tomorrow.

The hollyhocks are huge this year with masses of buds. First flowers showing too.

Creeping nightshade, I think. Same flowers as deadly nightshade, but the berries are red rather than black IIRC.

First rose making its appearance.

Other buds on the new lupin coming in now.

We have reached peak feverfew.

So Laburnumley is looking LIT. I am well chuffed! This is exactly what I was after with the mix of geraniums and feverfew. One hundred internets if you can spot the bee in the final pic!

Jasmine now planted by @KannanSVenu and @cyrillepradal from the next close.

The glassbeams on the plants this evening though!

The hebe was pure theatre.

The eryngium caught it too over in Laburnumley.

I mean.

And the foxgloves.

The foxgloves.

Then the Himalayan honeysuckle decided it wasn't letting the hebe steal the limelight. Or glasslight, to be precise.

And we got a gorgeous glam on the Big Double H at the centre of Laburnumley.

Though the photo doesn't do it justice though, I think I have to give the prize to the lupin gifted by @ChrisFalky's dad, which was fricking *on fire* when the glassbeam hit *it*. I'll definitely crop this later for a better composition, try & convey the sheer glow of it better.

And that was today!
