Control and power manifested in the Earth plane is largely manifested by Saturn.

Saturn's principle action is synonymous with "Rest, Constriction, Withdrawal, Inertia"

This is exactly how Saturn controls society and to a good extent, life on Earth. All creatures on this planet are playing a risk-reward system of survival. This is all dependent on strategies used for capturing sources of energy for living beings.

Hunting and foraging for food is extremely risky, but the reward is high. However, resting, hibernating and hiding in a shelter has very little risk, and though you'll be hungry you're likely to live a lot longer.

This instinct is also imbedded in human beings as well. Why are governments, orders and systems so hard to overthrow? Why do revolutions of the past always result in new oppressive regimes, perhaps even more oppressive than previous ones? All relates to energy conservation.

Creating something new takes far more energy than destroying something that already exists, furthermore theres a very large risk that the new creation is maladaptive. Random mutations in the genome are largely deletrious and produces cancer. As above so below.

The second factor is habit. Once a habit is formed it is very hard to break it, because the series of processes needed to form the habit has been streamlined by neural connections, thus less energy is needed to perform it. Is a spiritual analog to this? (Short answer: Yes.)

In terms of reincarnation cycles and cycles of time (Events repeat because time has a spiralling coil pattern) this habituation is called KARMA. Karma is action, but its an action that will repeat if no consciousness is applied to remediate it.

Hence, Saturn, as karaka of the 6th house, is the lord of Karma. Saturn rules karma on all levels of reality. Saturn dictates we must repeat lessons until we begin engaging our consciousness to making changes.

This spiralling pattern of time is very much related to the hypnotic, occult powers of Azlesha, the coiling one, and the Nagarajas like Seshnag, who rules U.Badrapada. Remember, the snake represents time, such are serpents symbols as Rahu and Ouroboros.

Because Time is related to Snakes, it is also related to Kundalini as well. Kundalini is the energy needed to bind the soul to the muladhara, or earth plane. Time can only effect objects with mass.

The soul is essentially anti-gravitational. If one becomes too developed in spirituality, one can easily leave the body, which is the shakti of Magha, the power to leave the body. Hence, Magha, the rat yoni, has a deep relationship with Azlesha, the snake/naga nakshatra.

Removal of spiritual impurities causes the soul to "enlighten" which begins the process of leaving the incarnation cycle, to leave the process of time.

Astrologers were always employed by kingdoms to time ceremonies for prosperity and wage war to obtain land. Now, with technology based off of sciences such as general relativity and quantum physics, governments are even more cognizant of time- while their subjects remain ignorant

We are still ruled by certain entities that date back to ancient Sumeria due to our experience of time being bound to the hexidecimal system. We are bound to other time-entities such as Christ, who we have counted the passage of Years after his ascension.

We go by months named after Roman Emperors. Our whole experience of time is also largely governed by Roman and Gregorian influences.

Spirituality's esoteric goal is the incremental unbinding of one's soul to Time. When we identify with the body, the appearance, our material possessions, things that decay in time, we add more weight to our soul.

As the soul becomes heavier and heavier, its easier and more cost-efficient energy wise to just not take the risk. Its easier to just go to sleep and conserve energy.

This is extremely, extremely difficult. Enlightenment describes a PROCESS, which paradoxically, demands we perform correct actions in the correct order in the medium of time.
