1/ Observing how Hezbollah is acting and reacting to things in the past few weeks - From Hassan Nasrallah's latest speech and tone, to the judge who tried banning the US ambassador from talking to the media, seems like a power play to me.
2/ Did the party really sense that:
- The smuggling game to Syria is very out in the open now..?
- The local currency crash is hitting hard even in its strongholds..?
- Some of his supporters are leaning towards the economic demands of the #LebanonProtests ..?
3/ So here comes the "Power play" theory:
Through the latest Nasrallah speech tone, and the latest judicial order against the US ambassador, and the latest news about a Hezbollah drown capturing footage of protestors who blocked the southern highway 2 days ago 👇
4/ Hezbollah seems eager to maintain a large base of supporters (Not that it's easy to jeopardize its current base) but the economic clash is pushing people to ask more questions, participate in protests demanding reforms (away from political slogans) 👇
5/ Seems to me like Hezbollah is trying to prove to the sect that it's still as powerful; specifically with this bold approach to the US ambassador, which we all know is a bluff approach, she is a diplomat, the whole judicial order move is ridiculous.
6/ Hezbollah supporters' convoys tour around Dahye earlier - a large group gathers in support of the party too.
