Now: Senate Intel members are heading down to the SCIF to meet with DNI John Ratcliffe for what Chairman Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) says was a “pre-scheduled roundtable, so members are free to ask about any topic.”
Senators starting to trickle out. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) tells us his initial reaction — “I don't believe the American people are getting close the information they deserve to have about these reported attacks.”
Ben Sasse (R-Neb.), like other senators emerging from the briefing, won’t comment on the substance, but says of punishing Russia—
“I'm interested in hearing an administration speak clearly about their plans that aren't just hypothetical sanctions sometime out in the future.”
After more than two hours with Senate Intel members, Ratcliffe has left the building.
Rubio:
“I thought it was an important briefing, we got a lot of good information, I learned a lot of things about a lot of things.”

Rubio: “what I'm confident of is that the United States is well aware of all the threats around the world and has taken appropriate steps to protect us troops.”
