Welcome to night two of our Fighting Corruption Legislative Focus week! Tonight’s topic will be about Campaign Finance Reform.
This thread will be short, but please know I take this topic very seriously and want our democratic processes to be as fair and transparent as possible.
The point I hope to get across tonight will be on getting big money, and the influence that can come with it, out of politics, period.
That includes corporations, foreign businesses, Super-PACS, etc.
One huge step our country can take is by overturning Citizens United.
