Observations. #567.

"The same side of two different coins"

I would actually call it REAL vs. REAL - on either side of the border.
I know these are broad brushstrokes. Exceptions exist on either sides. But the truth is: "extremist liberal" Hindus do think like this ("REEL")+

& extremists in PAK do think like that ("REAL").

The Ind "liberals" want rest of the Junta to follow "REEL".
And most Hindus, even RW (angry, but mostly conciliatory in practice), are indeed like this .
Similarly the PAK extremists want rest of the Junta to follow +

"REAL". Which most "normal folks" also do, though in a passive language; & mistrust for India / Hindus is commonplace even for liberal LW in PAK.

So the point is that either extremes are bad & that, more importantly, both these extremes
+

have (& continue to) influenced main-stream opinion. And in a way are the DNA of the two nations.

As a result you have a mostly conciliatory junta juxtaposed to a mostly hostile population.

NEVER WORKS.

India needs to drop this appeasement nonsense & call a spade a spade+

5/n

Pak needs to respect its minorities & become more inclusive.

The latter is unlikely to happen.
The former ...? Your guess is as good as mine.
