In 1967, he founded Modulor Group Architects, one of the largest and most successful architectural practices of the 70s and 80s.

Notable projects the firm completed include:-Federal Palace Hotel Extension, Eko Court Victoria Island, Elephant House, Apongbon and the 28-Storey Union Bank HQ Marina.
Chief Balogun served as Secretary-General of the African Union of Architects and President of The Nigerian Institute of Architects(NIA) from 1987- 89.
He made a fortune from architecture and diversified into other businesses including Real Estate, Furniture and I.T. He also dabbled into Politics and was once a Presidential aspirant in the Social Democratic Party(SDP).
He was born in Ibadan into the prominent Balogun-Kobomoje Family. He studied architecture at the Nigerian College of Arts & Sciences Zaria( now ABU).
In December 2000, he was tragically murdered by hired assassins at his Lagos residence.
