And the new plot lines, really straining credibility. The idea that Spectre would bring a psychopathic gangster to the White House, with the intention of ruining and humiliating the US and presiding over mass death during a pandemic. Come on already, as if that could happen

As for the minor villains, don’t get me started. This guy? The linkman between Russia, Brexit, the far-right and Trump in some wacko plot to wreck the European Union because of ‘globalism’ or something? Be serious.
Admittedly this one is a master of disguise...
But I will say the Ernst Stavro Blofeld prequel has promise. So we go back to the days when he was working for Russia, pre-Spectre but still dreaming of fucking over the British Civil Service and wrecking the UK in record time. That storyline holds up...
And the Spectre women. Phew. They leave Fiona Volpe standing. Edgy, mean and dangerous. Wouldn’t trust this one to give me Kim Darroch’s leaker...
