The historic judgement by the honourable supreme court upholding the rights of the Travancore royal family to administer #sreepadmanabhaswamytemple at Thiruvananthapuram will go a long way in freeing our temples from the clutches of the regimes.
For several decades successive governments in Kerala have tried to take over the control of Hindu temples against the wishes of the millions of Hindus not just in Kerala but entire world.
This decision also strengthens the spirit of democracy and Constitution under which all citizens are equal and state can not discriminate between them on the grounds of religion, caste, gender etc.
When establishments of other religions are allowed to be managed by the members of same religion, why should the govt intervene in the affairs of Hindu temples and seek it's wealth for fulfilling its own coffers!
Rule of law stands for separation and limiting of the power of the state.
This decision is in complete accordance to rule of law and according to the wishes of Dr Ambedkar who belived in constitutional equality and freedom.
