A new Twitter account this month promoting "affirmative" care for children/teens, and early medical intervention.
On testosterone since age 14.
"I am a happy boy."
A child (obviously "AFAB" "assigned female at birth") already declared at age 7 to be the opposite sex.
But 7 isn't particularly young when it comes to the affirmative model. We know toddlers are "affirmed" by the adults in their life as the opposite sex, like this 3-year-oldl who wanted to "grow a willy."
Same child underwent the rite of passage we see so often in these stories: Was allowed to get a haircut to proclaim the status of trans boy. (No one ever asks why the child couldn't have a short haircut from the get-go.)
The adults who run the Trans Kids Speak account couldn't resist getting a dig in at JK Rowling. "You don’t love girls like me. Hermione would be disappointed," says the 10-yr-old. Why would an adult encourage a child to think their favorite author "doesn't love a girl like me"?
The above tweet⬆️(using a child & emotional manipulation to attack @jk_rowling) has 1.4K likes so far.
Account is just over a week old, but with big plans for a presence on multiple platforms. Under 18s (obviously their parent/other adult for the younger set) asked to join in.
Update: Our source in the affirmative parents' Facebook group just sent us this post. Activist parents planned the TransKidsSpeak effort specifically to go after JK Rowling. There were many more responses (not included here) some much uglier than "I can't take that TERF anymore."
