The big one seems to be a pepper of some kind and the internets say it wants a big pot, so it is now in a biiiiiiig pot.
The lavender got drookit. #Rakesden
The lupins new flower spike also got hammered down by the rain, nearly snapped off.
The big St. John's Wort has been collapsing for weeks now with its own lushness, right enough. I'm reeeeeeaaalllly going to have to get some plant supports for next year. Or just a bunch of steel rods to make my own.
Though there may be an upside in the drooping plants. This foxglove has like a half dozen baby flower spikes and I'm guessing it's the chemical signals not getting back to tell it all's well, we can stop flowering now.
There's a few of these around the garden, foxgloves sending up extra flower spikes, at least one where the main spike got snapped. Which makes sense from other plants, deadheading to get more blooms and all, but I had no idea foxgloves did this.
Trying out some more carnation cuttings, and some bits snapped off the stonecrop so I figured I'd try them in a pot. They seem one of those succulent types that roots really easily. There's some in Smolsneuk now from being just poked in the soil last year.
