...Somehow I dreamed about, a ninja village in the modern era. Where everyone are ninjas, but there are some mythical creatures which are only exist in their village & these people can do a little bit of magic..

In the dream, this village is actually a remote village built by the Japanese government to preserve this clan bloodline. But sometimes, normal people can go to this village for holiday destination, like a tour.
The one scene that I remember the most is when the youngsters of this village are competing to reach the top of the mountain (like endurance test with obstacles to reach adulthood), but I can see most of them are 10-14 years old kids.
One of them is a very tomboyish girl which looks like a boy. Each of the participants brings their family / predecessor names. Some of them are considered "heroes".
And their starting places (like from front to behind), are based on..
...the "heroic level" of the family member in their own family who had become a hero. This tomboyish girl who looks a lot like a boy, was in the 1st position.
She encountered hardships and suddenly moved back to the very back to the race, because just like some generic plots in this kind of stories, the other youngsters prepared traps for her so she would get pushed back behind.
And at the end of the stage, each of them have to summon their family's "mythical creatures" to help them get into the very top of the mountain which is the goal.
By summoning, the creatures are not appearing out from nowhere, but they had to be called from the point they've been told to stay and wait.
Every single creatures can fly. But when the other participants called theirs, they would not appear.
This is very strange bcs usually those creatures will follow the family heir's command. The first creature to appear was this girl's. And after this girl's ride on the back of that creature, the other creatures follow in to come to their summoners.
Whatever happened is really strange. Apparently this girl's creature can command the other creatures.
The test is over, and the girl is declared another "hero" for this village.
Time flies by, the girl had 2 other kids as her best friendsThey graduated. This girl married one of her best friends. But about 20 years later, when they having a nostalgic time by visiting the old classrooms. They realize that the amount of students decreased a lot.
So many empty desks... People just don't really interested in becoming ninjas with magic powers anymore. Some of them also didn't inherit the power and moved away to modern cities to live as normal people.
But the activity of tourism destination has not yet been ceased.
