Finally! After multiple delays and a multitude of leaks, Google has finally taken the wraps off the #Pixel4a, the company’s affordable variant of its flagship Pixel 4 smartphone. Yay!

But it launches in India in, wait for it, October. Nay!

Although, a stripped-down version of the Pixel 4 as expected, the Pixel 4a is a definite step up from the last year’s 3a.

Jump in the processor series, more RAM and storage, and even sweeter price. I was totally excited about the Pixel 4a... but October, sigh!

Meanwhile, in the US... there will be a 5G variant coming later this year along with the launch of Pixel 5.

The Pixel 4a (5G) will be priced at $499 when it launches in fall.

#Pixel4a specifications.

FYI:
- One color variant (Just Black).
- One memory variant (6GB + 128GB).
- No XL variant this time around.

With Pixel 5 not launching in India and getting devices from abroad not practical in near future, is it time to jump off the Pixel train?

I really like what Pixel 4a offers (love my 3a as well) but I'll miss the wireless charging that I'm used to on Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL I have.

The Pixel 4a will definitely be one of my top choices in mid-range but lack of flagship offering (something I'm a potential customer of) is jarring.
