1/10 A BIOHACKING THREAD
I’ve been a biohacker since I was 13. I highly recommend you become acutely aware of your body & all its functions. The best way to do this is to subject your body to new experiences of safe, beneficial stress & pay attention to your biological responses.

2/10 Why? Well, because acute biological awareness increases mental, emotional, and relational awareness. And heightened awareness of biological and psychological phenomena—when triggered in healthy and safe ways—increases the quality, sensitivity, and joy of one’s life.

3/10 You come equipped by your benevolent Creator with three basic biological systems to play with:

•Cardiovascular (blood flow)

•Respiratory (oxygen intake)

•Digestive (food intake)

What a wonder you are!

4/10 Do not be afraid of pushing your body to safe yet uncomfortable extremes. Violate laziness and comfort in favor increased sensory consciousness. Here are a few biohacking examples I’ve experimented with over the years with great results.

5/10 FASTING

•one day a week with only water

•one food item a day for 1/3/5/7 days, such as apples, citrus, watermelon, cherries (no, Doritos don't count)

•“lemonade fast” for 7-10 days: 2T lemon juice, 2T grade B maple syrup, 1/8t cayenne, 16 ounces of water X 3 or 4 a day

6/10 CONTROLLED BREATHING

Each night as you lay down to sleep, inhale & hold for a count of 30, then exhale completely & hold for a count of 30, X 5. Repeat as soon as you wake up in the morning. This triggers calmness & clarity of thought. Your dreams may even be more vivid.

7/10 INTENSITY INTERVALS

Walk for one minute, sprint for one minute, for 21 minutes. Do this for 30 days and watch what happens to your body. Explore other intensity interval exercises, as well, such as with weights.

8/10 THE 1, 2, 3 CRUSH

Do 100 push-ups, 200 crunches, and 300 jumping jacks, six days a week for 30 days. You will literally watch your body morph into a form you are unfamiliar with.

9/10 THE COLD RUSH

•end every work out by sitting in cold water for a count of 30, 60, 90 or 120

•end of your hot shower with cold for a count of 60, for 30 days

•if you own or have access to a sauna, sit in the heat for 40 minutes and then sit in cold water for 1 to 3 mins

10/10 BONUS HACK

Kiss your beloved with your heads upside down from each other. Sounds weird, but you have to try it. It will give you a whole new perspective on the astounding level of dexterity required for the simple act of kissing right side up. We take so much for granted😂
