Today in #Rakesden...

Undercherry is golden again with the crocosmia.

Bees loves bidens.

The wee buddleia is also blooming. I'll be deadheading this as soon as they're spent, hoping for more, and looking to bush it out over the next year or two, try and get it to fill this wee corner with flowers.

Getting some nice blooms on the delphiniums, albeit not spectacular. It'll be interesting to see how they do next year, as they get established in their place.

The dianthus rockin red are also flowering more, and they've bushed out enough just in this year that it'll be exciting to see if they fully claim this space.

You can see just the few wee dots of red between and to the left of the hydrangea and crocosmia. If I can get that as profuse as the pics of these flowers online in a fully established clump, that's gonna look proper jewel gardeny.

This time last year, that big clump of crocosmia was nowhere near as beflowered, I'm sure, and it was largely alone. Even the hollyhocks gave a lot less flower. So I'm chuffed with how I've got a bit better succession this year, with the liberal dottinga of more of the crocosmia.

And now I have seen more heuchera (candy honey) that I'm really tempted by b/c of the golden-brown colour, even though we don't really have space for them. I mean, we *could* lose some of the welsh poppies, cause there's no shortage of *them*.
