Today in #Rakesden...

The mix of sunny days and torrential days has been warmly welcomed by the saikei, which are looking lush. The moss has just about swallowed up the rock in the last one.

Chuffed to see the nasturtiums in Birchby doing exactly what I wanted them to, trailing along the edge of the border to fill in a bit where spring bulbs leave it all a bit bare after dying back.

The purple loosestrife has come in nice in its wee swampy corner at the back of the strawberry patch, and it sits well with the flowers of the Himalayan honeysuckles. Hopefully this will clump up even more over the next few years, really claim that space.

A couple of the delphiniums in Undercherry just got munched, but some are doing pretty well, and the second one there, at the front of the border, has a good bunch of flowers on it that should look right fancy when they open fully.

And the cowboy clematis is still romping away. This is all basically this year's growth. It's gonna be the monstrous montana next year, I reckon.

Oh, I forgot to post the other two saikei from the cold framey thing.
