It’s almost like bringing college kids back to campus is an exceptionally poor idea that we shouldn’t be trying right now

This is the inevitable result of any college trying to bring students back to campus this fall.

It won’t work. Don’t even try.

UNC and the rest of the ACC are still trying to play college football this fall. Are football players going to be the only students on campus? The idea that they’re normal student-athletes is already laughable, but this would end any pretense.

It’s genuinely hard to come up with a worse idea than bringing college kids back to campus. That should have been obvious after we saw how big a vector bars were during the second wave.

College presidents, though, felt like they had to try to bring students back so they could justify charging full freight. The result is this incredibly reckless exercise of moving 18 to 22 year olds around the country so they can be on campus a few weeks before going back home.
