We weren’t invited to Matt Hancock’s speech today.
If we were, I would have asked why someone who presided over a huge data breach at TalkTalk, and who led a Test and Trace system so unsuccessful it’s been handed off to councils, is qualified to fix England’s public health.
I would have also asked who else was considered for the job, and what the selection criteria were.
But as I say, the press weren’t invited.
So I guess you’ll never know.
I don’t have a Soundcloud, but here’s something we did get an answer to - and not the answer we expected.
