I welcome the #CabinetDecision of setting up of an autonomous body called #NationalRecruitmentAgency which will facilitate a Common Eligibility Test for over 1.25 lakh Central Govt vacancies in Group B & C every year through IBPS,SSC & RRB in which 2.5 to 3 crore people appear.
CET will be a tier 1 test, completely online and scores will be available to the candidates immediately after the exam.
Scores will be valid for 3 years. Based on scores, candidates can appear for a next level exam.

A viability gap funding #VGF will be provided for the 117 aspirational districts for connectivity & infrastructure to conduct these exams.
#NRA will not only reduce the recruitment cycle significantly in govt recruitment but also will entail immense cost savings and reduced time & efforts due to one CET instead of multiple exams that stress all stakeholders involved.

Rs.1,517.57 Cr has been earmarked for #NRA for 1st 3 yrs of its operation.
It is a boon for rural, female & divyang candidates and will help create a level playing field.
