An M.B.B.S student in kerala pays adequate amount of fee during his years of study.
Rs.25,000 X 200 students(Trivandrum MCH) = 50,00,000 lakh.

Except anatomy, physiology and pharmacology all other non clinical subjects have laboratories attached to them, where the faculties run them 24x7days. These include
-biochemistry(1st year)
-microbiology(2nd)
-Pathology(2nd)
-Forensic medicine(2nd)

From third year onwards its mainly clinical postings.
-ent
-ophthal
-community medicine
and the core clinical subjects

in effect almost all the departments are attached to clinical services provided to patients for free and payment in salary aka tax payers money is remuneration to the faculties running these services.

House sergeancy stipend now is Rs.25,000.

In these 365 days, they continuously take 24-36 hour duties mostly without week offs. These services make medical college services smooth and comfortable to the inmates.

So next time when someone puts forward the "tax payers" money theory, tell this math!

Ask how much fee they paid and how much they gave back to the society during education time.
