We’re excited to share that we and our partners at @CAREUganda have launched a pilot program to protect the sexual and reproductive rights (#SRHR) of women and girls living in one of Uganda’s largest refugee settlements, Adjumani.

Women in Adjumani face numerous barriers to accessing sexual and reproductive health services. In addition, an overall lack of accountability within the refugee settlement puts them at heightened risk for #SRHR violations.

We’re establishing an accountability system with community-led mechanisms to monitor, review and respond to #SRHR-related complaints to better protect and defend the reproductive rights of those in Adjumani.

“Ensuring rights-based accountability for violations of the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and girls in Adjumani has never been more critical.” Grady Arnott, Manager of Legal Research at the Center said.
