#CJs2Cents: Okay, can we all pause for a moment and agree that Ghira Belladonna is an absolutely horrible leader? And no, I don't mean of just the White Fang or Menagerie, I mean he's a terrible leader in general. #RWBY
When he led the WF, he went into the battle for equality with a very passive approach. Just be nice to humans and ask them to stop discriminating against your people. He even admonished 1 of his subordinates for literally saving his life from one such human by killing them.
Then when the passive route in the WF wasn't going well, he just abandoned the cause entirely and moved down to Menagerie for a cozy little life of little to no human interactions. Despite clearly knowing faunus injustice still occured, he just did nothing until the plot came.
And then there's his tenure as leader of Menagerie. He seems like a decent leader at first. But then you see no humans live on Menagerie at all, so that means the nation/Ghira isn't even promoting coexistence with humans, they're literally just a pro faunus isolated nation.
So much for wanting peace & equality among humans and faunus, huh Ghira? And then there's him literally abusing his power to save 1 single terrorist-who was part of a plan to murder him and his wife-from facing any kind of punishment, just because his daughter likes her.
And then he allows said daughter to conscript the civilians of his own nation into a guerilla military force to go fight armed and very dangerous terrorists in ANOTHER KINGDOM. Do I even need to say why this is a bad thing, folks?
And now, the guy who abandoned the cause in the first place and whose methods weren't working is going to be at the forefront of ANOTHER White Fang movement? The entire reason he left was because his ways weren't getting any results that were favorable. So why come back the same?
And this is more of a worldbuilding tick, but if Ghira really cared about the continued injustice to his people going on outside of Menagerie, why not send out people from your nation to the other 4 and promote it? Try to get as many of your people over to Menagerie at the least.
