The position of the Presidency traditionally requires reverence and respect by the press, as does the position of the First Lady. It has been that way since the beginning. And the press should be respected by the president; not attacked as the enemy of the people.
It is an unwritten understanding.
But that mutual reverence and respect has been shattered by Trump. And let's face it, Melania does not have the credentials to ever compare to past First Ladies like Lady Bird, Jackie Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, Rosalynn Carter, Pat Nixon etc.
Sorry. It is a fact.
So why does the MSM have to give respect to those that give no respect?
Give Trump what he gives you. Contempt.
Call him out as the liar and the con artist that he really is. Cut him off when he lies, and counter with the facts.
Do not let him talk over you, EVER.
If he says you are nasty, just say - I ask the questions that America wants answers to, or, why is that a nasty question? It is your attitude toward the press that is nasty. The press is the defender of the truth, and the
last defense against tyranny. So answer the question." If he cuts you off, just keep talking! The next reporter should say, I have a question, but I will not ask it until you answer my colleague's question first. And the next reporter, and the next. Unite! Two can play his game
