I'll be in downtown #EugeneOregon in a little bit for the @DailyEmerald at a rally for @Eblack_unity leader Jaz who was arrested yesterday.
The rally is set for 1 p.m. at the jail when she is scheduled to be arraigned according to the group's Facebook.
Not really newsworthy at all but I thought this cucumber placement was peculiar.
Wells Fargo window has been boarded up since last night
Looks like the spray paint has been cleaned up. There are several cars/trucks in front of the jail. One with a American flag.
Not too many people here.
Maybe 20-30?
As stated on the Facebook page, those here are sticking to the sidewalk.
Just getting word that Jaz will be released in a couple of hours with no charges filed.
Speaking with the woman who went inside to get info: the DA chose not to press charges now and she's been released. Will be able to leave in a couple hours.
